ROLE
I worked as the Marketing and Design Intern within the marketing department of the undergraduate office of the McCombs School of Business. I spent my summer working hand-in-hand with the marketing coordinator, understanding the vital role of the department, and creating digital content for the celebration of the BBA Centennial Celebration.

PROJECTS
I was first officially exposed to the magical tools within Adobe Suite, and finally learned how to properly use Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, and Lightroom as I was tasked with designing bridge banners, window clings, hanging banners, and T-shirts that would provide students and alumni alike the exciting celebration information for that coming school year. In addition, I had the privilege of collaborating with the undergraduate office through aiding with any marketing insight, ideas, and materials needed for the fall semester. Among the projects I undertook was creating a marketing plan for several giveaways to occur during the orientation weeks for the incoming freshmen students while creating and tracking social media content to promote these events.

LEARNINGS
All in all, I loved the mentorship and patient guidance provided to me by my manager, and by the department as a whole. I was first exposed to the ways a business decides to target their marketing efforts, and the crucial components needed to be successful, specifically as a university. Looking back, my experience allowed me to be able to pursue more independent roles in the future.
